Spike was a stunning Black Brindle Stafford, standing at 16 inches tall, absolutely Solid and with a 22 inch neck, a true stunner in every way.
We brought Spike home when he was just 6 weeks old and almost immediately realised that we had just bought an exceptional dog, he was truely a really intelligent boy... Quick to learn everything but even quicker to please us. Something he never failed to do.
Spike's favourite place was the beach where, given the chance he'd have stayed until he'd collape of exhaustion after chasing his toys in and out of the sea. He didn't care about other dogs & their toys... All he wanted was Mummy & Daddy to throw his toys for him
Unfortunately - for all that knew him, he developed a very aggressive form of Prostate Cancer late in 2007 (aged just 8) and try as we might, we just couldn't do enough to save him. That was the hardest day in my life so far, although i know he'll be there waiting at the Purley Gates for me when i get there.
Spike will always be remembered, his temperament, intelligence, build and insatiable willingness to please everyone is something that i want to instill into every Stafford that passes through our doors
